The Addition Procedure adds one or more elements and their connections in the M matrix.
The Addition Procedure can be applied by expanding the M matrix such that new rows and columns correspond to new elements.
All entries in these rows and columns are set to unknowns, except those which are placed in the main diagonal; these entries are filled with value one.
